Safety stair nosing is designed to help reduce slips and improve pedestrian awareness on steps and landings. It is part of Safety & Civil’s Slip Resistance category. These profiles are commonly used in commercial, industrial and public settings and can assist in meeting general site safety obligations under Australian Standards.
This stair edging range is manufactured from Anodised Aluminium and is suitable for internal and external applications. It is available in custom or standard lengths of 900mm, 1.2m, 1.8m and 3.6m.
Providing a P4 slip resistance rating, suitable in wet and dry conditions, the range meets the requirements of AS4586:2013 (slip resistance) and AS1428.1 (Design for accessibility).
To meet the requirements of AS1428, the stair nosing must be a contrasting colour of 30% to the stair.
Easily install the Safety & Civil stair edging range using adhesive fixings. Depending on the surface and product, many stair nosing profiles are compatible with mechanical or adhesive methods.
